Fibre Optic Cabling

Fibre Optic Cabling is a highly-specialised service. The installation, termination and testing procedures are critical to the performance and reliability of any optical infrastructure.

Fibre is invariably installed to achieve high transmission rates over longer distances where normal structured cabling would be inadequate. They tend to form the main arteries of the network.

We totally recognise these issues and have all the relevant skills, specialised tooling and test equipment to undertake optical installations.

We have the ability to carry out on-site terminations using fusion slicing or a variety of direct termination techniques (hot melt, cold cure crimp etc). Test results are provided as part of the handover documentation.
 

Structured Cabling

Structured cabling has changed dramatically over recent years with Cat 6 cabling capable of supporting data transfer rates of up to 2GB/sec. We have the specialist knowledge and equipment to install to the most exacting standards.

We also install enhanced Cat 5 and Cat 6 structured cabling systems using products from recognised providers such as Krone and HellermannTyton.

All outlets are fully tested and certified using Fluke DSP400 cable scanner and full certification is provided upon completion of the project.
